Summary:
Asthma is a disease that affects your lungs, causing wheezing, difficulty breathinh, chest tightness and coughing. Eosinophilic asthma is a type of asthma that is caused by high levels of white blood cells called eosinophils in the airways of lungs.The goal of this study is to learn whether dexpramipexole, when added to your usual asthma controller medicines can reduce severe asthma attacks. The study will also determine if dexpramipexole improve pulmonary function, asthma control and quality of life. Dexpramipexole is a tablet that you take twice a day by mouth.

Participants must be asthma patients and non-asthma patients.
