About the Study

Wakefield Clinical Research is conducting a clinical research study for adults with gout. The purpose of this study is to evaluate an investigational medication taken in combination with allopurinol and to understand how the medications work together in the body.

All study-related care is provided at no cost, and compensation may be available for time and participation.


Who Can Take Part?

You may qualify if you:

  • Are between 18–75 years old
  • Currently take Allopurinol 300 mg daily
  • Have eGFR ≥ 45 mL/min/1.73 m²
  • Can attend visits at our Cary, NC clinic

Additional eligibility criteria may apply.


What to Expect

If you are eligible and decide to participate, you may be asked to:
  • Attend screening and study treatment visits
  • Provide blood samples for safety and pharmacokinetic evaluation
  • Complete vital signs, ECG, and routine medical assessments
  • Take either allopurinol alone, study drug alone, or both together depending on the study period

Your participation will be closely monitored by trained research staff.
