Summary:

Have you been diagnosed with bipolar disorder? Do you feel that medications have not helped your depression?

If so, you may qualify for an 8-12 week study for treatment of bipolar depression.

We are looking for adults who are depressed, currently in treatment with an outpatient psychiatrist, and taking a mood stabilizer. web stats


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18-75 years of age
• Be diagnosed with Bipolar I or II disorder and currently depressed
• Have tried at least one antidepressant during the current episode of depression
• Be currently taking either lithium, depakote, or tegretol
• Be currently in outpatient treatment with a psychiatrist


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Free study medication, labs, and parking vouchers will be provided. Participants will also be compensated for their time ($50-450) and after the study referred back to their treating psychiatrist with treatment recommendations.
