Summary:
A double-blind, randomized, placebo controlled, parallel group, multi-site study to evaluate the clinical equivalence of lubiprostone 24 mcg capsules (Anchen Pharmaceuticals, Inc.) with AMITIZA® (lubiprostone) 24 mcg Capsules (Sucampo Pharmaceuticals, Inc.) in the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation. FDA approved medication. This is a 12-week study.
Qualified Participants Must:
• Be 18 years of age or older
•
Be suffering from chronic, idiopathic constipation
•
Be able to keep a diary during the study when necessary
Qualified Participants May Receive:
All study related procedures and medication (or placebo) at no cost. Participants may be compensated up to $200.
