Summary:
This is a 24 week study evaluating the efficacy of technosphere insulin, inhaled insulin, versus novolog. There will be a total of 11 study visits. You would continue on your current once day insulin and we would put you on inhaled insulin at mealtime or novolog at mealtime.
Qualified Participants Must:
• Be 18 years of age or older
•
Have diabetes type 1
•
Currently be on a once a day insulin and a mealtime insulin
•
Be a non-smoker
•
Not be on an insulin pump for at least 3 months prior to first study visit
•
Not have any continuous blood glucose monitoring for at least 6 weeks prior to first study visit
•
Not have any history of COPD, asthma or other lung diseases
Qualified Participants May Receive:
You will receive all study related medications, a glucose meter and all glucose meter supplies, all study related procedures completed. All of these at not charge to you.
