Summary:
Clinical Trials of Texas, Inc. is looking for individuals diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes to participate in a research study. The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of an investigational medication verses a placebo (inactive substance) when added to a stable dose of Metformin as a potential treatment for individuals diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.
Qualified participants will stay in the study clinic overnight one time for three nights and another time for two nights. Additional visits to the clinic are required.
Qualified Participants Must:
• Be between 18 and 65 years of age
•
Be diagnosed with Type 2 DiabetesCurrently taking Metformin for at least three months
•
Meet certain blood sugar requirements
• Additional criteria may apply
Qualified Participants May Receive:
An evaluation by a Board Certified Physician, diagnostic tests, investigational medication and/or placebo (inactive substance) and compensation up to $2325 for time and travel.
