Summary:

A 52-week research study evaluating the effects of an investigational drug added to insulin treatment in subjects with type 1 diabetes, to see if it can provide better blood sugar control.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Have had a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes mellitus for 12 months or more
• Be between 18 and 75 years of age
• Have been on basal bolus or insulin pump treatment for 6 months or more
• Have a stable insulin treatment for at least 3 months
• Have a HbA1c level 7.0-9.5%
• Be motivated to participate in a clinical trial with a new investigational drug added to insulin, which will include frequent visits, frequent self-monitoring of blood sugar and self-titration of insulin.


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study-related care and study medication at no cost and may be compensated for travel.
