Summary:
You may have the opportunity to participate in a clinical study that compares an investigational medication, combining insulin glargine and lixisenatide, to insulin glargine alone and lixisenatide alone.
If you:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes for at least one year
- Have been treated for at least 3 months with metformin alone or metformin with a second oral anti-diabetic treatment and your diabetes is not adequately controlled with this treatment
Then you may be eligible to participate in this clinical study.
Qualified participants will receive for free:
- study-related medical examinations

- diabetes testing supplies
- compensation for time and travel (where permitted)
- diet and lifestyle counseling
