Summary:
Impetigo is a highly contagious bacterial skin infection that most commonly occurs in children. Treatment usually includes antibiotics; however in recent years, the bacteria associated with impetigo has become resistant to these medications. CTT is currently conducting a new research study that is testing the safety and effectiveness of an investigational treatment for impetigo.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be 2 months of age or older
Currently have impetigo
Not have a pre-existing or underlying skin disease
Not have uncontrolled diabetes or bacterial infections
Additional criteria may apply
Qualified Participants May Receive:
Study-related medical care from a board certified dermatologist as well as study medication and testing. No insurance is required. Compensation up to $200 is available for time and travel.
