Summary:

Would you be interested in taking part in a type 2 diabetes research study?

We are conducting a research study looking at the effectiveness and safety of an investigational drug for treating high blood sugar also known as Type 2 Diabetes.

If you are Black/African American, 18 years of age or older with high blood sugar and are either not being treated or are currently taking metformin for your condition you may be eligible to participate.

The study will last for 24 weeks, during which time you will see the study doctor and/or nurse about 8 times. You will receive, at no cost, study drug and a physician examination, including laboratory work. Reimbursement may be available for certain study related travel expenses.
