Summary:
Depression is a common disorder among men and women 65 and older. Most patients who are diagnosed with depression are prescribed anti-depressants, but these medications do not always work and additional treatment is needed. If you are over the age of 65 and are not responding to your current depression treatment, you may qualify for a new research study at Clinical Trials of Texas. This study is evaluating the long-term safety and tolerability of an investigational medication, brexpiprazole, as an add-on treatment for patients who have not had an adequate response to current treatment.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be 65 years of age or older
Have been experiencing symptoms of depression for 8 weeks or longer
Have been on an anti-depressant for at least the past 6 weeks
Have no other major psychiatric conditions
Additional criteria may apply
Qualified Participants May Receive:
Study-related medical care from a board certified psychiatrist, study medication, as well as study exams and evaluations. Compensation will be available for time and travel.
