Summary:

The Adult Cognition Lab at Georgia Tech is currently looking for volunteers between the ages of 70 and 85 to take part in a Memory Intervention study. We are interested in whether our interventions can help people improve their everyday memory. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two memory interventions.  All interactions will be virtual (e.g. phone or videoconferencing). Each intervention will consist of an intake interview, pretesting, 4 3-hour online group sessions (2x/ week for 2 weeks), coaching phone calls, ongoing measurement after the interventions for 2 additional weeks, and posttesting. Total time will be between 35 and 40 hours over the course of 6 - 8 weeks.  Compensation will be provided.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between 70 - 85 years of age, in good health, free of major neurocognitive impairment, English speaking, and willingness to use technology like computers and Smartphones.

Qualified Participants May Receive:

compensation for taking part in each part of this study as follows:

1)     Completion of in-person interview, questionnaire & pretest: $25

2)     Completion of four intervention classes ($10/session): $40

3)     One-week coaching period: ($5/day) $35

4)     One-week measurement period: ($10/day) $70

5)     Completion of in-person interview & posttest: $20

Study parts must be completed in order.  For instance, participants cannot *just* complete Section 2 without completing Section 1.
