Summary:
o We are seeking participants for a clinical research study to evaluate the impact of an investigational medication for adults with high cholesterol and are taking a statin [Atorvastatin (Lipitor), Fluvastatin (Lescol), Lovastatin (Altoprev), Pravastatin (Pravachol), Rosuvastatin (Crestor), Simvastatin (Zocor), Pitavastatin (Livalo)].
Cardiovascular risk is still high for individuals who are on a maximally tolerated statin.
The goal of this study is to determine the investigational medication’s effectiveness on managing cholesterol.
Qualified Participants Must:
• 40 years of age or older
•
Have high cholesterol
•
Body Mass Index (BMI) 18.5 to 40kg/m2
•
Additional qualification criteria exist
