Summary:

Living with Gout? Consider Joining a Clinical Trial.

Join the RUBY Study of a possible treatment for adults with gout who still have flare-ups despite taking allopurinol. The RUBY Study will test how effective and safe a study drug called dotinurad may be in treating gout, compared to allopurinol.

You may be able to join the RUBY Study if you:

  • Are 18 to 75 years old 
  • Have been diagnosed with gout for at least 1 year
  • Have had at least 2 gout flares in the last 12 months before joining the study
  • Have been taking the same dose of allopurinol for at least 3 months

You will need to meet other requirements to join the RUBY Study. Please contact us for details.


Qualified Participants May Receive:

If you qualify, you may receive at no cost:

  • Either dotinurad or study-supplied allopurinol 
  • Monitoring by the study team throughout the study
  • Reimbursement for reasonable study-related expenses (travel and meals)
