Summary:

This trial aims to reduce LDL-C values in participants with a previously LDL-C value of 55 or higher, who have been taking a consistent dose of statin for 28 days or more.



Qualified Participants Must:

Participants 18 years or older with a LDL-C value of 55 or higher with statin usage, who have either established atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease or are at risk for cardiovascular events.

Established atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease - one or more

  • Previous heart attack or stroke

  • Stent, bypass or other revascularization surgery

  • Diagnosed peripheral arterial disease (PAD)

  • Angina- type of chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart.

Risk for cardiovascular events - one or more

  • 50% or more stenosis in 2 or more arteries
  • Diabetes type 1 or 2

  • Hypertension

  • Chronic kidney disease (CKD)

  • Currently smoking cigarettes

  • Obese

  • Risk can also be calculated by the office based on recent lab results.


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Compensation is provided to participants per visits completed. All materials needed for the study will be provided and compensation may be available for travel.
